An adult cat flea Ctenocephalides felis. In northern Europe domestic dogs are more likely to be infested with this flea than the dog flea Ctenocephalides canis. Adults act as important intermediate hosts for Dipylidium caninum in addition to being a major cause of dermatitis in both cats and dogs.
