Dragonfly imago emerging from nymph. The adult head can just be seen protruding from the split thorax of the nymphal skin. Photo taken in the Yasuni Reserve Ecuador by R. Hutchinson. This species was breeding in pools of rain water by a gravel road. I do not know the Genus, any suggestions would be welcome.
